No. A brand can start using Bridge Wholesale with no setup or activation charge.
What payment forms can a brand accept?
A brand can choose to send an invoice to the customer, accept credit cards at checkout, or both. Please note: accepting credits in real-time via Bridge is a separate service. This service carries a fee. If a brand wishes to accept credit cards online, please ask Bridge for pricing.
Can a retailer that does not have a Bridge account purchase from a brand’s Bridge wholesale account?
Yes. Any retailer can use a brand’s wholesale account. The retailer will open a free Bridge account and then login to the brand’s wholesale account. The brand controls which businesses it allows to make wholesale orders. A brand will approve each retailer to allow it to make wholesale purchasing. For example, a retailer can’t view a brand’s wholesale prices or make a wholesale purchase unless it’s approved by the brand. Is Bridge Wholesale a ‘marketplace’ service?
No. Bridge Wholesale does not pool many brands items alongside competitors items on one site which is what a marketplace service often does. Bridge Wholesale enables each brands to have their own account that shows just their products. A retailer can easily browse to this site and makes purchases—as if it were visiting the brand’s showroom. If a retailer wishes to see another brand, it will visit that brand’s account, as if walking to the next showroom. Bridge enables retailers to go from ‘showroom’ to ‘showroom’ and say logged in. When a retailer makes purchases, these will be accessible online. The retailer can locate these e-receipts in its own Bridge account or by visiting the respective brand’s Bridge account.
Can a brand have a unique domain for its Bridge Wholesale service?
Yes. A brand by default receives the website address ‘brandname.bridgecatalog.com.' A brand can choose a unique domain name such as yourbrandnameshowroom.com and ‘mask' its Bridge Wholesale address behind this domain.
How much does the Bridge Wholesale service cost?
The service is free for retailers and sales reps. Brands pay either a percentage (2%) of the sale or a flat fee per month per brand ($99/month per brand). These fees are far lower than other wholesale platforms' charges. Bridge is able to offer lower prices because Bridge is not dependent on the wholesale service to generate operating revenue.
Can a brand just the wholesale service and not the other services (e.g. gift registry, D2C, etc.) offered by Bridge?
Yes. A brand can use just the wholesale service. While using many of Bridge’s services helps leverage existing product data for many purposes, it is not required.
